Bowlees Open Farm Sunday opened the gates at 10.30am on Sunday 11th of June 2023. This is a Fun Family Friendly event, We had two farm walks throughout the day, the first walk started at 10.30 am and the second walk was at 12.30 pm.

The day consisted of a farrier hot shoeing a horse, sheep being clipped and seeing the working sheep dogs. The friendly goats (Daisy, Penny and Billy), pet lambs (Minnie, Lorna and Bella) the donkey (Doris) who was in the pens and able to touch, tractors to sit in to a have a photo taken and the largest animal of them all Oliver the horse.

There was animal face painting £1.50p each, a local photographer to show local pictures of the beautiful area around us, crafts and a leather workshop.

Open Farm Sun­day, 9th June 2024 is farm­ing’s annu­al open day giv­ing vis­i­tors the oppor­tu­ni­ty to learn more about farm­ing and the coun­try­side, and farm­ers the chance to talk about what they’re so proud of: British food and farming!
